The Italian banking group has entrusted Proel with the task of providing an EN 60849 standards-compliant PA/VA audio evacuation system for its head offices in Mestre. Intesa S. Paolo has chosen a PROEVAC 2 system designed by Proel’s AVL Systems division specialized in design and equipment for a diverse range of audio/video installations.
The position of the various facility areas and utilities required a thorough analysis in order to design an extremely efficient audio safety system. Made up of four main buildings interconnected through pedestrian crossings, the business centre hosts the bank’s executive, administrative and operating offices, a 300-seat conference room and external and underground parking spaces servicing the whole facility.
The design included Proel EV PRO4 analog matrix directly interfaced with fire detection devices equipped with sensors located in strategic points of the buildings.
The system’s rack-mount central unit, positioned in the mechanical room, controls the paging stations broadcasting calls or announcements or pre-recorded evacuation messages.
Each facility area or zone is equipped with specific EVAC speakers with redundant connections (A + B lines). The system, featuring automatic activation and operation, is always monitored by internal security staff.
The complete cabling and speaker installation was carried out by DAECO, a company based in Adro (BS).
Banks too are enhancing safety for their employees and customers to make sure that all the occupants of their buildings can be rapidly informed in the event of fire or other emergency situations, in order to be able to orderly and quickly evacuate through the escape routes specified by the relevant authorities. Proel has already installed many of these systems in schools, hospitals, stadiums and industrial facilities.
With this line of EN 60849 standards-compliant sound systems for emergency purposes, PROEL is able to provide sound engineers and contractors a modern, expandable system which is fully compliant with current regulations.
